Our xtras are Adobe Director 11 ready.

We tested our xtras under latest release of Director and found most of them works absolutely normally. We found only small problem in MediaPlayer Xtra in full screen mode, but we are going to fix it soon.

So you can safely use StarSoft Multimedia xtras in Director 11.

By the demand of the users posting on Forum, we have added new functionality to UltimateNet Xtra and have removed the existing problems. The new patch has number 1.4.
The changes include:

• adding function FileOperation for fast operations on local files and folders (copying, moving, removing),
• adding cookies handling at HTTP client, thanks to which they can be saved to any file and modified during the http session,
• removing the bug in Abort function for HTTP downloads

There is available free patch 1.3 for UltimateNet Xtra, adding new property HttpProtocolVersion and solving the problem with some HTTP connections via SSL. For more see Manual.

Responding to requests of our Customers we developed an update (version 1.2) for UltimateNet Xtra. This update removes some limits and bugs and brings you new functionality. Most important changes include:

• automatic decompression of HTTP response having deflate/gzip compression for its content added
• 4 new functions to facilitate FTP files transfers added
• enhanced monitoring of FTP transfers progress for a number of files
• better control over FtpUpdateDir function

The update is free of charge for all registered users.

We have published a brand new product - SmartOLE Xtra. By means of this xtra you can display on the projector stage any OLE document, such as a Word document or an Excel sheet. The document displayed can be treated as a normal sprite, and what is more, it includes an unique feature - vertical and horizontal scrolling. Feel free to download and test the trial version.

By our customers' wish we added a new Lingo property to the MediaPlayer Xtra - UseOverlay, along with its counterpart in the dialog window. This option allows to turn off the use of hardware acceleration to play video (the Overlay mode), if it's unwelcome. To the StarMenu Xtra we added new Lingo events - MouseEnterPopup and MouseLeavePopup, generated whenever a mouse coursor enters / leaves the menu area. See the Manual for details. Both upgrades are free.

StarMenu Xtra is full compatible with the newest Director MX 2004 now. The Shockwave package has been added as well. The price remains the same. Upgrade is free. There is a demo on-line showing the StarMenu Xtra Shockwave abilities.

MediaPlayer Expanded Xtra 2.0 is ready in a final version. We have fixed all faults submitted by beta testers, updated the manual along with the demo application and added the Shockwave package. Enjoy it!

MediaPlayer Xtra Shockwave 2.0 is ready. Apart from the Shockwave feature it has some new Lingo functions and events. Among other things, you can determine the media types used by your video / audio file. Video playback has been improved.

From now on StarSoft Multimedia is a commercial Shockwave publisher. We have obtained Shockwave Certificate issued by VeriSign. Our Code Signing (Class 3) Digital ID includes information that identifies our company for users downloading signed content for Macromedia Shockwave. This means we may now create signed Shockwave packages. MediaPlayer Xtra Shockwave 2.0 is coming soon (this month).
