This example illustrates how to set resolution in presentations consisting of many
movies (.dir files). The key thing is how to avoid switching resolution while switching between movies.
If in the script handling the menu item click you place the direct Lingo command go to movie, every several clicks (undetermined amount) you can get an error message "Access violation at address 06CCC80E in module 'starmenu.x32'. Read of address FFFFFFFF". To eliminate this you should use some trick in Director.
UltimateNet Xtra enables to create a presentation with automatic update of files at some specified folder.
During the update process Ultimate Net Xtra scans FTP server files and downloads those which are of more recent modification date or of different size than presentation files currently available at the local machine.
The entire process takes place in the background, with no hassle of foreground user operations being interrupted.
We tested our xtras under latest release of Director and
found most of them works absolutely normally. We found only small problem in MediaPlayer Xtra in full screen mode,
but we are going to fix it soon.
So you can safely use StarSoft Multimedia xtras in Director 11.
