MailTo Xtra overview
MailTo Xtra allows to send an e-mail from a Director's presentation. The e-mail can be sent in one
of two ways: either by launching the default mail client (e.g. Outlook) on the local machine,
or directly to the given mail server. The former is available only on the
machines with some mail client already installed (almost every PC owns such a program
these times). The latter is independent from a local mail client, but is slightly
less user-friendly since it demands well-thought-out errors handling (a presentation should,
for instance, react properly to connect failure). The choice of the method depends on the
designer's conceptions and technical requirements of the presentation.
Main features
- Create an e-mail message containing title, body, recipients' list, CC and BCC recipients' lists
- Add any number of attachments
- Define format (plain or HTML), charset, and attachments encoding type
- Define server's name and port along with the maximum time of waiting for response
- Send e-mail on a server directly
- Send e-mail with the default mail client
- Set default properties in the dialog window
- Dynamic access to all of the properties and functions with Lingo script
- Complex errors handling (in the form of events raised to Lingo script)

Note. MailTo Xtra doesn't support SMTP authentication. If your SMPT server requires authentication, the xtra can send mails only
to your local addresses.
