MediaPlayer Xtra overview

MediaPlayer Xtra is an extension for Director that provides a full support for MPEG, DIVX, AVI, WMF (Windows Media Format) video formats and MP2, MP3, WAV, MIDI, AIFF audio formats and other files. Media Player uses DirectShow library which is a part of DirectX (since 6.0 version). Therefore multimedia stream decompression is fully software, i.e. hardware independent.

MediaPlayer Xtra is Shockwave Safe (in the install package you can find Shockwave package, which you can use in case of "Download if Needed" option).
