UltimateNet Xtra overview

UltimateNet Xtra enhances Net Lingo capabilities with features providing HTTP and FTP communication through nearly all kinds of proxy servers available on the market. That includes both simple port mapping and SOCKS proxy servers as well as those with user authentication and secure (SSL/TLS) options. Moreover, UltimateNet Xtra is capable of automatic proxy server detection using either WPAD (Web Proxy Auto-Discovery) protocol or system Internet API functions.

It provides both explicit and implicit FTP connection functionality. FTP password may be MD4 or MD5 encrypted and the encryption process is fully automatic.

On top of that UltimateNet Xtra supports PING and WHOIS net protocols and offers build-in network monitoring functions, so Internet connection detection has now become easier than ever before.

Additional function to display system dial-up connection window solves problems of these end users who access the Internet with phone modems.

All networking routines (like connection initialization, data transfer, collecting of POST/GET results) are fully asynchronous, so there is no hassle of foreground operations being interrupted while waiting for results from the Xtra. Results of network routines are available to Lingo as event parameters accessible with a bunch of suitable functions.
